CHANDIGARH - the city which should become more then a second home for me was the base for all
my adventures which I experienced in India.
It's a very modern city and compared to the rest of India very clean and green. With a lot of
parks the city has a calm and relaxing flair. It's not a big business city even though almost one
million people live there. Compared to Delhi, Mumbai or Colcatta it's very quite. I think it is
a very good city to live in - at least I felt very comfortable.
Besides the flair of the city itself it was a great opportunity that there were always about 20
- 30 trainees from all over the world which is quite interesting. I like to get to know people
from around the world even if there are often misunderstandings because of different habits.
It was great to do trips with these people and to learn more about their culture. Also very
important was to learn more about the Indian way of life, their habits - and - their food. I
really love Indian food except the sweets. They are just too sweet. Besides the sweets Indians
prepare great food which I enjoyed a lot. Unfortunately what they call Indian food in Germany is
miles away from the original taste.
