BRAZIL - Another huge country which is quite different from Germany. And once again I have to say that I fell in love with the country. The happiness, openness and friendliness of Brazilian people is just overwhelming. Even though sometimes it gets a bit too much. I want to describe the country where football is a religion a bit, but it should be mentioned that I didn't see the entire country. The things I describe are just my personal experience.

Although football is a religion in Brazil there are many people who can't play at all and in the university where I studied I was amongst the best players. Another wrong stereotype is that all Brazilian women are absolutely pretty. As far as I can say they get prettier the nearer you are to the beaches - haha...

Brazilians like to socialise. Not only in the real world but also on the internet. Like Facebook is used in the rest of the world Brazil has its own social network called ORKUT. In the small city where I lived I was threatened in the beginning to get an account in this social network. By the time I learned the advantages of this social network especially for setting up meetings.

One thing which has to be mentioned about Brazil is the incredible good food. I absolutely love brazilian food even though I gained 10 kg whilst living there. Everyone who has the opportunity should go to one of the BBQ-restaurants where you can get all-you-can-eat with meat which is not available in Europe. Surprisingly good is the Pizza and I would even say it can definitely challenge the Italian original.

The last three months of my stay I traveled through South America. I went from the west coast to the east coast and back. I saw the Machu Picchu, Rio de Janeiro, jungle, carnival and plenty of other cool places and events. People who use Google Earth can see the places I went to:
