STUDIES - The original and major purpose of my stay in UK was obviously not to experience
british pub culture and drinking habbits. No, although that happened ( of course ), I was there
to study at the
University of Sheffield.
It is a well-equipped university, which belongs to one of the best in the country regarding
some recent statistics. In my opinion one can see the difference to Dresden and I think this
is due to the tution fees students have to pay here.
My courses were a mixture of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year courses whereby the majority 3rd year
courses were. The first semester wasn't too dificult, but the subjects in the second semester
were slightly more difficult, because almost every course covered my favourite programming
language - JAVA. Anyway, that really helped me to boost my programming skills.
