UK - the country where the word rain was invented. Whether it belongs to Europe or not, UK is
not that different from the european mainland as some british people would like. Although I'm
pretty sure the 'Euro' will never make it to this lovely island.
Apart from the similarities there are huge differences, too. Unlike the rest of the world,
people in UK seem to dislike food in general. I really have no other explanation, why the food
in the UK is so bad. The aim of eating appears to be rather to get stuffed instead of enjoying
a proper meal. And this in the country of Jamie Oliver...
Nevertheless the people are very polite and one can really see, where the words gentleman and
lady come from. People in Germany would often need some of this politeness. Nonetheless this
is only valid until british people start to drink, because especially women can't really
control their drinking habits. I've never seen people that drunk as in UK. It was shocking in
the beginning.
However, it is in general a really nice country to live and I enjoyed my stay there, but it
would probably be nothing for people who need sun on a regularly basis ;). People who use
